The Open Governance Guide has a new draft chapter—developed with the help of the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law—that is focused on protecting and promoting civil society, with illustrative commitments and recommendations. Adoption of such commitments can lead to a stronger civil society that can more effectively collaborate with government, including on implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and better support the work of the OGP. The session aims to explore how stakeholders can most effectively promote the adoption and implementation of commitments in support of civil society.
