The objectives of this workshop are: (1) Introduce the Environmental Democracy Index platform and briefly explain its purpose, how and what it measures and its intended impact; (2) explain its relevance to Open Government, the Sustainable Development Goals and discuss how it can help countries develop new commitments and civil society benchmark environmental democracy; (3) develop ideas on how EDI can be expanded and improved to focus on measuring implementation and enforcement of environmental democracy.
