In this session, IRI will present its work with municipalities on open government initiatives. The organization will showcase its multisector roundtable methodology as an example of how to promote open government and increased citizen-government communication at the local level. Municipal representatives will highlight their open government initiatives and challenges they have faced in implementation. Civil society and private sector representatives will share their experiences related to open government. Concluding discussion will focus on how participants can implement the ideas discussed in their municipalities.
